Century Old Die Cut Card

doves litho

This century old die cut card is also an embossed stone lithograph print. I bet it cost a few pennies extra when it was sold! Notice how the artist managed to curve the text to follow the shape of the note card in the design of the greeting card. Here is a 300 dpi high resolution scan JPG for you to print for collage or use in a digital design.

Man, dont cha just dig the old ephemera? I just thumbed through a book circa 1900 digging the intricate ‘plates’ and admiring the typography. I jokingly said to my mother in law “I cant wait to reinvent this old book? lol Both my hubby and mother in law chirped loudly. lol

I have a collection. We have fast, convenient full color printing, but it is poor quality. Also, the designs are infantile. Every card is “Look! A dog in a hat!” :p
