Chicago Destination for Winter

February 7, 2011

If you are going stir crazy from being snowbound and need to get out to a destination in Chicago, and can brave the winter weather, the Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows is free to the public.  If anything, it will give you a colorful break from the over-abundant whiteness of snow.  There are many artist’s work there and many Tiffany pieces.  You can stack seeing this collection on top of a IMAX movie and/or one of the restaurants at Navy Pier.  I did this late last fall when it was very cold and the wind was ferocious.
