Large sculpture installation with trees

January 28, 2011

A large sculpture installation at the edge of Grant Park by MAIC has a solution to the lackluster nature of trees in the frozen north.  Several trees have been placed an equal distance apart, each one painted in a bright orange and yellow.  Where the color for the trunks and the branches meet forms a line at the same height.  It was snowing when I was there with a light fog, so the colors were extra strong against the dazzling white haze of their surroundings.
