KNITTA: StitchPunk Artists Take Knitting to the Streets

July 14, 2010

KNITTA pieces show up randomly here in Chicago; I know where there are a few attached to light posts and similar, but they are older and faded.  Knitta groups seem to be sporadic and crop up unexpectedly.  Give them points for originality, and maybe they are less likely to get arrested for unsanctioned modification of  the urban environment.  Anyone with scissors can just cut the work off.  By my experience, no one does.
