Space Green House!
One of the many things I found interesting on my Museum of Science & Industry fun day was this design for a greenhouse in space. It compacts down into a small cylinder, robots expand it into an oblong tube. It is designed to be a self-contained growing center and the idea is to deploy these in advance of space travel, so people can have a salad when they arrive. The exhibit said the technology was tested and used at the research center in Antarctica.
Calm down, stoners. It’s just lettuce.
