Book Recomendation: Ivy

Without doing a search online, I have to wonder how much of the content of this book could be autobiographical from the author.  At times I felt like saying “get out of my head!”  Main character Ivy Stenova is an emotional maelstrom churning through hopes for the future and a tumultuous senior year in high school.  Pretty much the only thing she is good at is art.  The story is grounded somewhere in the 1980s to the early 1990s [letters in the mail, landline telephones, mix tapes], probably the latter with a reference to Tim Burton films.  It’s a coming of age story that goes hardcore.  Definitely read this if you love indy comics.
