DIY Decorative Paper
It’s back to school sale time, so I bought a package of construction paper to collage with. The only problem is that construction paper is boring. I have been modifying the construction paper into low-cost decorative papers. You can drip, brush on, spray, stamp and splatter any combination of the following for color:
- Watered down acrylic paint (metallic paints look interesting)
- Watered down acrylic silkscreen inks for paper
- Sumi-e ink or colored inks
- Watercolor paints
Construction paper does cockle easily, especially if there is a lot of wet media used, but it is also very easy to iron flat again.
